My life in Australia during Quarantine!
Hey everyone! Life lived in my flat 24/7 is actually pretty exciting right now... because I realized I get to write more!! So here is a compilation of thoughts I've had during quarantine about Australia and just this season in general. Happy reading ;)
1. Taking this beauty for granted...
Oh Australia, it's so easy to take you for granted. It's so easy for you to become just a familiar book on the shelf. It's so easy to normalize how crazy this actually is, that God brought me across the world within the span of 6 months of my dream. That I am in an Ephesians 3:20 place. That I am smack dab in the middle of God's plan for me in your beautiful company. May I always be in awe of your beauty, Australia.
2. The people I surround myself with are bold...
Sometimes I fail to realize how much of a bold move coming here was for everyone. It changes my perspective on the people around me when I remember that they had went through the same thing I did. They dared to dream big because they knew how big God was. They put their fears aside and carried a confidence that God goes before them. They decided not to settle. Not for the school in their hometown. Not for what others told them they should do with their future. But for the 'unique to them' call of God on their life.
Everyone should be so appreciated. This is no small thing! x
3. In this season, it's going to be easy to focus on the inconvenience of corona, or what is now at lack. But I challenge you, don't focus on what you don't have, rather focus on what you do have!
These are 3 people that made Australia feel like home to me so far! My friends Sharon, Pascale, and Lauren <3
4. Beauty springs forth out of this season.
I've found beauty in this season! I am actually really excited for this abundance of time I have. I decided that if I'm home, I'm going to make the most of it! For one, I am getting back into reading books and writing more (with God's help haha). I look forward to growing my capacity and learning more. Allowing myself to better in the process :-)
Here's a question: What can you now do in this season that was hard for you to do before? What can you start? What can you accomplish?
Love,
Rithika
*Ephesians 3:20 - Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.
